Litchfield County Exploring

The Inn at Kent Falls – a bed & breakfast in Kent, Connecticut | a handsome colonial with guest books dating back to the early 1900’s. Though rich in history, the Inn has been carefully updated to satisfy discriminating travelers of the twenty-first century. Travel and Leisure Magazine said, “It’s like visiting your stylish country friends.” This serene setting is convenient to all of Litchfield county’s attractions including the Housatonic River, Lake Waramaug, Lime Rock, Appalachian Trail, Mohawk Mountain for skiing, plus wonderful restaurants, antiquing, the arts. The Inn has been featured in Travel & Leisure, Conde Naste Traveler, Country Home and The Best of Connecticut Magazine.

Canoe, Kayak, & Raft the Housatonic River in Connecticut with Clarke Outdoors | www.clarkeoutdoors.com
Sunday Breakfast: my partner and I decided to take a break and paddle down the river. Clarke Outdoors is great…they drop you off on one side and pick you up on the other. The trip is lovely, easy and does not require much experience. Definitely bring sunscreen, H2o and leave valuables in the car or at the Inn.  When the leaves start to turn, we’re doing it again.

Happy paddling! —Ira
